Bill Clinton directly speaks on controversial hot tub photo with unknown female during Epstein files deposition

Former U.S. President Bill Clinton addressed questions regarding a controversial photograph during a closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee on February 27. The session centered on images released by the Justice Department as part of documents related to Jeffrey Epstein.
Lawmakers specifically inquired about a “hot tub photo” and other pictures showing Clinton alongside Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell. The former president denied any wrongdoing and stated that he did not recognize an unidentified woman appearing in one of the images.
“I saw nothing, and I did nothing wrong,” Clinton said during the deposition, emphasizing that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s criminal conduct while they were acquainted.
Clinton noted that by the time Epstein entered a guilty plea in 2008, he had already severed contact with him. He maintained that he was unaware of any illegal activity during the period of their association.
He also defended his wife, Hillary Clinton, who testified the previous day, asserting that she had no involvement in Epstein’s activities and criticizing the subpoena as unnecessary.
During the six-hour session, Clinton acknowledged that some of his responses might appear limited due to the passage of time. He explained that he would not speculate about events that occurred decades ago and stressed the importance of relying on verified facts rather than assumptions.
Additional images released in the documents show Clinton at social gatherings and on trips where Epstein was present. He argued that merely appearing in the files does not imply misconduct and reiterated that he had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes, adding that he would never have associated with him had he known of any illegal behavior.
