DOJ Sending Letters to Dems Warning Them for Impeding ICE Arrests

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced a formal investigation into several prominent Democrats whom she alleges are obstructing federal agents.
Speaking with Fox News host Jesse Watters, Bondi claimed that top Democratic officials are actively interfering with agents carrying out former President Donald Trump’s immigration enforcement directives.
During the broadcast of Jesse Watters Primetime, Bondi addressed a video featuring former Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot introducing a nonprofit called the “ICE Accountability Project,” an initiative aimed at documenting what it described as alleged misconduct by ICE and CBP officers.
“Lori Lightfoot, JB ‘Back Ribs’ Pritzker—they are publicly disclosing information about ICE agents. Is that legal?” Watters asked.
“No,” Bondi responded. “In fact, the first time I saw the Lori Lightfoot video was just now, on your show. Tomorrow, we will be sending her a formal letter demanding preservation of all relevant information to ensure the law is not being violated. From the video and public statements, it appears there may be violations.”
Bondi explained that federal law strictly prohibits the disclosure of the identities and personal information of federal officers. “You cannot release details about where an agent lives or any information that could endanger them. The same applies to Pritzker. Earlier today, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche sent letters to Nancy Pelosi and Brooke Jenkins, the D.A. in San Francisco, instructing them to preserve all documents, communications, and records related to this matter.”
The attorney general emphasized the seriousness of the issue. “If anyone encourages the public to interfere with ICE officers or other federal agents, they are obstructing justice. If they think they won’t face legal consequences, they haven’t met me. We will pursue charges if violations are found.”
Bondi framed the investigation as a matter of public safety and accountability. “Our federal agents are out there working tirelessly, often in dangerous conditions, even amid a government shutdown, to protect Californians. Yet you have leaders like Pelosi advocating for actions that impede these investigations. That will not stand. We are taking steps to ensure every federal officer is safeguarded, and we will hold accountable anyone attempting to obstruct their work.”
Watters clarified the nature of the letters: “So these are warning letters—you’re telling them to preserve documents and essentially putting them on notice that legal action could follow if they continue?”
“That’s correct,” Bondi affirmed. “The letters require the preservation of all relevant emails, records, and communications. They are a warning that impeding federal investigations is illegal, and noncompliance could lead to criminal liability.”
She concluded by reiterating the stakes and the message she hoped to send. “Federal agents risk their lives every single day to keep communities safe, and no politician should be in a position to obstruct their work. Donald Trump has made it clear that interference will not be tolerated. We will protect law enforcement personnel, and those who attempt to undermine their mission will face the consequences.”
Bondi’s statements underscore an intensifying legal confrontation between federal authorities and certain elected officials, framing the situation as both a matter of law enforcement integrity and political accountability.
