Police issue update after woman fires multiple gunshots into Rihanna’s home

Police have confirmed that Rihanna’s Beverly Hills home was struck by gunfire on Sunday, March 8, prompting a rapid response from the Los Angeles Police Department.
According to reports from the BBC, officers were called to the property at approximately 1:15 p.m. local time after receiving reports of shots fired. Authorities later located and arrested a suspect—a woman believed to be in her 30s—in connection with the incident.
Investigators say the suspect stopped a vehicle outside the singer’s home before firing between seven and nine shots toward the property. Police confirmed that four of those bullets struck the house.
At the time of the shooting, Rihanna was reportedly inside the residence, though authorities confirmed that no injuries were reported.
Evidence collected at the scene included assault rifle casings, according to CBS News. Police also found bullet holes in a gate and in an RV parked in the driveway.
LAPD radio dispatch records published by the Los Angeles Times indicated that the suspect fled the scene in a white Tesla, heading south on Coldwater Canyon Drive after the shooting.
A police helicopter quickly located the vehicle and followed it to a shopping center parking lot in Sherman Oaks, where officers stopped the car and took the suspect into custody roughly 30 minutes after the initial 911 call.
Armen Arias, a spokesperson for the LAPD, said officers searched the vehicle after the arrest and recovered an assault rifle along with seven shell casings.
Police Sgt. Jonathan de Vera confirmed that no one was injured during the incident, though the investigation remains ongoing.
According to NBC News, LAPD Capt. Mike Bland stated that additional details about the suspect, including possible charges, are expected to be released on Monday, March 9.
